This one is massive! A driving, acid bass, mean mugging bad-boy! Definitely recommend playing this on a decent sound system, as it will blow your socks off!

Erol Alkan's work on "Night Works - Long Forgotten Boy" is a perfect example of the remix surpassing the original. He took the overall vibe of the original and pitched it up a notch, layered and textured it with warm, airy soundscapes. This is 8 minutes of pure bliss!
Moon Boots is a name you should already be familiar with if you have been following this page, but if you're not, then there is no better way to get to know the sounds of this guy than by listening to his March mix below! Enjoy the blissful vibes, this one is truly an amazing set!

Moda Black is one of the most consistent labels when it comes to top notch house music. The previews are out for their latest compilation and it's shaping up to be my favorite comp of the year thus far! They've managed to get 14 exclusive tracks from the hottest artists at the moment that includes Shadow Child, MANIK, Huxley, Ejeca, Hot Since 82 and Danny Daze. Celsius is also making an appearance with "Holdin' On". There are so many great tunes on this release but one in particular that stands out is the collabo between Shadow Child and Karin Park. Beautiful vocals with the usual clever soundscape from Shadow Child, definitely give this a play in the preview player below!

Slowing things down a bit, but keeping it smooth. Here are two incredible tracks from Erdbeerschnitzel, a German genius!
For more of this vibe, listen to this fantastic mix he has put together for Little White Earbuds.
Back with some proper deep house! Urulu & Steve Huerta have both turned a mellow deep house number by Cassio Kohl into pure gold! Urulu's take on the track is a banger, with groovy percs and a massive bassline. Steve Huerta kept things laid back but gave it a more danceable face. The remixes can be purchased on Beatport.
At the end of every month I am going to pick some of my favorite songs from the past 30 days and put together an 80 minute mix. Here is this month's collection of outstanding music.

If you have been following the blog from day one (which was only 2 weeks ago!) and have read my very first post, then you know what I mean when I say that I've had "one of those moments". The Blood Groove & Kikis remix of Claes Rosen's "Starlight" has blown my mind to a blissful place. The original has been a favorite of mine ever since Claes uploaded it on his soundcloud as a free download a few months back, but it seems the guys at Spring Tube liked it so much that they signed it up for a release. This should not come as a surprise since this track is like being kissed by the sun. The original is a beautiful piece of work, emotive chord progression dressed up in bright cosmic colors. With this release came a few remixes that included Aerotek, Blood Groove & Kikis and Da Funk. I was surprised to see Da Funk do a remix for a label such as Spring Tube since their catalog leans more towards the progressive house sound whereas Da Funk's work, usually, is rather funky and leans towards deep house. He turned in a very atmospheric, progressive remix that is quite different from his usual style. The absolute highlight of the bunch as I mentioned earlier, is the Blood Groove & Kikis remix. They toned down the original and painted a magnificent, soul-warming beauty. Feeling down? Grab your headphones, put this on and sit in the sun. Feel the warmth on your skin and let this song bathe you in pure euphoria. I'll leave you with that...
Now for some proper, classic house vibes. Prince Club has been rising to the top with superb releases that included many remixes and reworks you can grab as free downloads on their soundcloud! Two young producers from Canada who's gained support from the biggest names in the industry. Their latest treat is a release on Nurvous with a release date set for March 5th. A classic house groover with a female vocal looping through the track. Catchy and groovy!

Going back a few years, Above & Beyond were my idols. When I was heavy into trance, their music was always full of substance. Emotive, lush and moving. That's what Maor Levi has breathed into "Black Room Boy" with his deep house remix of the track. Maor is an absolute prodigy. The man has produced under a plethora of aliases because he can do it all. From trance to dubstep to tech house to ambient, whatever the genre, Maor can do it. Not just do it, but do it well. He has a feel for music that few other artists out there do. This talent is greatly displayed in his remix for Above & Beyond. The track will be included on Anjunabeats Vol. 10 which is set to be released on April 3rd. Check out the lush beauty Maor has created!
If there's one thing that comes to mind when I think of Roger Martinez, it's consistency. His productions are always pristine. The sound palette paints a perfect picture for the intent of the track and you can't help but listen over and over again to catch new details of the track each time. Such is the case with his latest track, "De Machtige Trip" from the recently released Eschaton EP. This is by far my favorite track from the package. It takes you on a journey that truly feels like a journey. Not just the usual cliche expression, where the person making the statement doesn't have a clear idea of what a journey is. I guess the expression is a differing one from person to person, but the point is that this track is awesome. A beautiful melodic techno voyage. Distant echoes of synths and a vibe that is fitting at 2:30AM when you've been dancing for 2-3 hours and the set is about to take a dark (in a good way) turn. This track will transition you into the murkier territories of techno by giving you the last rays of light and color. Take a listen and bon voyage!
The mighty Dirtybird has finally released the first part of its "Dirtybird Players" comp, the follow-up to last years' "Hatched" comp which was awarded as the compilation of the year by DJ Mag. The unique, trend-setting madness continues with this release as expected, this crew never settles for anything less than "fresh"! The highlight for me in this package was J. Phlip's "Coefficient". According to her soundcloud preview, the track was almost entirely made with hardware, which is exciting news since I believe the wholesome warmth of analog sounds cannot be re-created the same with digital means. You can get close, but play this track on a proper sound system and feel the rumbling, thundering sub bass vibrating your organs, hair, brain, you name it! This is a masterpiece by J. Phlip and I suggest you play this loud!
If you enjoy the sounds of French Express then you're going to love this post. One Five is Scott Russel from LA (originally Portland, OR) and his productions are reminiscent of the mighty Perseus. He describes his sound as "smoother than silk socks gliding on a wood floor" which I would say is quite an accurate description. He put out a couple of remixes not long ago and you can grab them as free downloads! The How To Dress Well remix has reached the download capacity but you can grab a copy right here! (Right click, Save-As) The TLC remix is still available on his Soundcloud, so head on over and give him some much deserved love!
Here's a newcomer who's making quite a splash with this release. J. Wilthsire's "How It Is" EP on Hypercolour is nothing short of amazing! The fact that the man behind the tracks is a young lad from Winchester, Britain (UK) makes it even more exciting! The feel of the three-track EP is that of early Maya Jane Coles sounds and judging by this release, he is well on his way to stardom! Hypnotic, patient and progressive build-ups with a haunting vibe that you want to dance to at the crack of dawn. Get a feel for his sound and keep your eyes peeled!
The release date for the EP is 4/3/2013.
Sweater Beats from NYC makes baby making music and he has put his touch on Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body". A sultry slow jam and a free download!
Clancy is a young producer from the UK (London) and he is most known for his remix of Little Dragon - Little Man. He fuses house with disco and soul and is right up there with the French Express sound. He just put up his latest creation and it is a free download so grab it before it's gone! Also, check out his soundcloud for more delicious beats!
